Ella lives in a magical world in which each child at the moment of his birth receives a virtuous “gift” from the fairy godmother. However, Ella’s so-called gift is obedience. This birthright turns out to be a real curse when Ella finds herself in the hands of several unscrupulous characters whom she literally cannot disobey. Determined to gain control of her life and decisions, Ella embarks on a journey to find her fairy godmother, who she hopes will break the curse. The path, however, is not easy – Ella must outwit many unpleasant obstacles, including ogres, giants, evil stepsisters, elves and the evil uncle of Prince Charmon, who wants to seize the crown and rule the kingdom.
