Maud Bailey, a brilliant English academician, is studying the life and work of the poet Crystable La Mott. Roland Michell-American scientist in London to study Randolph Henry Ash, who is now the most famous for the collection of poems dedicated to his wife. When the mod and Roland find a cache of love letters, which, it seems, are from Ash to La Motte, they follow the traces of tips throughout England, repeating the trip of a couple more than a century earlier.
