The bishop’s bishop Henry Brown for several months worked on the plans of a carefully thought -out new cathedral, which, as he hopes, would be paid, first of all, a rich, stubborn widow. He loses sight of his family and why he became a churchman in the first place. Enter Dudley, an angel, a messenger to help him. Dudley helps everyone they meet, but not necessarily the way they preferred. With the exception of Henry, everyone loves him, but Henry begins to believe that Dudley is there in order to replace him, both at work and in the affection of his family, when Christmas is approaching.
